В работе рассматриваются индивидуальные особенности каждой из коллекций, определено значение личностных факторов коллекционеров, открыто ряд новых имён и произведений, в научное обращение введено ряд новых фактов из музыкальной жизни Галичины.
Отдельные главы посвящены изучению архивных документов библиотеки, в результате анализа которых впервые исследованы направления научной работы первых ведущих её библиотекарей. На основании архивных документов подтверждены факты изъятия из фондов и уничтожения ряда ценных рукописей и изданий композиторов Галичины.

The dissertation is dedicated to the complex researching of notes collections of LNMA named after M. V. Lysenko library, which have been formed by Lviv musical institutions and private collectors till 1939. The task of the research is to make the notes funds analysis, to show and systemize the notes into collections on the fixed stamps and collectors autograph reason, to show the musical life of Lviv in the collections, multinational creative contacts. Also, the research describes some individual special collections, discovers some new names and compositions, puts some facts from musical life of Galychyna into scientific circulation.
