We made preclinical investigation on white nonlinear male rats, which were on standart semisenthetic starch-casein diet, of specific activity of new vitamin-microelement complex (VMC), which consists of vitamins В6, В9, В12, also microelements such as zinc, chrome and vanadium. Researchers have been done in comparison with specific action of 2 (two) other complexes, close to VMC in vitamin composition, preparation of composition 1 (PP-1, composition according to R.Clark, 1998), and preparation of comparison 2 (PP-2, polyvitamin preparation “Decamevit”). It was shown on 3 (three) experimental models of hyperhomocysteinemia (strong methionine, chronic methionine and combined hypovitamin-methionine) using biochemical, hematological, morphological and hystochemical methods of research are shown, that both VMC and preparations of comparison possess hypohomocysteinemic activity and ability to normalize disorders induced by hyperhomocysteinemia, but prophylactic and therapeutic effect of VMC appeared to be higher in most of cases comparing to PP-1 and PP-2. We made the conclusion that researched vitamin-microelement complex is rivalries in comparison with modern analogs (PP-1 and PP-2) and can be recommended for preclinical and clinical investigations.
