Adverse effects. The main adverse effects are cutaneous hypersensitivity and ototoxicity (damage to eighth cranial nerve). From other side effects practical importance have: Quincke's edema; eosinophilia; serum sickness. Hemolytic anemia, agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia appear more rare.
